The Cedar Horse Club (CHC) began in 1993, with four enthusiastic horseback riders, whose hard work and fund-raising efforts built a strong foundation for the Club. Over the years CHC has developed a great reputation for trail riding, fun, and organized events. Strong friendships have formed as local equine enthusiasts come together to share their experience and knowledge.
The CHC promotes education and safety through lectures and practical workshops. It is our goal to continue in this direction and further develop into an organization that represents the needs of our members and local equine community.
We are a Mid-Island riding club enjoying such activities as trail riding, poker rides, beach rides, trail horse competitions and equine fun days. The CHC is open to all types of riders, horses, and ponies. We welcome and encourage all disciplines and happily include those who may not be equine owners, but wish simply to meet “horsey” people and participate in or help out at various events.
The CHC is a great network of friends and support. With your membership you will receive a membership
card, monthly newsletter, free or discounted rates on our events and lectures, discounts at some of the Sponsor's businesses, as well
as courtesy reminders for meetings and events. Our club meets at 7:30pm on the third Wednesday of each month. Meetings
are usually held in the Cedar Heritage Center , 1644 MacMillan rd. in Cedar.
